Nottinghamshire consulting engineers Howard Ward Associates (HWA) is opening a new office in Nottingham city centre.

HWA, which has its head office on Walkers Yard in Radcliffe-on-Trent, has taken the space within Knight & Whitehall House on Carlton Street in the Hockley area of Nottingham.

The firm, which has a team of 15, delivers construction engineering consultancy services across a range of sectors, including education, healthcare, emergency services, commercial and residential.

Dan Bailey, partner at HWA, said: “It’s an exciting time for HWA as we continue to grow our client base and skilled team. We are very familiar with Nottingham and wanted to extend our presence in this dynamic city.

“Having an office in the centre of Nottingham seemed like the natural next step for us as we do a lot of work in the area and it will allow us to be closer to a number of existing clients.

“At Knight & Whitehall House we will be neighbours to a number of other firms in the property and construction sector which is ideal, and we look forward to further embedding ourselves within the business community in Nottingham.”

HWA is currently working on a number of schemes including Nottingham Trent University’s new ceremonial hall on Shakespeare Street, Cumberland Place; a 204-bed student accommodation facility in Southampton, and 3-9 Listergate, Nottingham, transforming the existing historic five storey building into a new apartment complex.

Additionally, HWA is in the early stages of development of two new Nottingham care home facilities in Clifton and Hucknall.
