Travel Alert: Delays and cancellations from and to East Mids after person hit by train

A person has been hit by a train between London St Pancras and Luton. This will affect trains on the London St Pancras/Nottingham/Sheffield route.

Trains on the routes above will be delayed, cancelled or revised.

East Midlands Trains says it currently has no estimate as to when the line will reopen and a normal train service wil resume.

A statement from the train operator said: “If you are travelling between these stations your journey will be subject to delay, cancellation and alteration.”

Travellers may use their East Midlands Trains ticket on board the following services with other operators:

Virgin East Coast: London Kings Cross – Doncaster

Virgin West Coast: London Euston – Birmingham

Grand Central Hull Trains: London Kings Cross – Doncaster

Trans Pennine Express: Doncaster – Sheffield

Northern Trains: Sheffield – Doncaster
