A Nottinghamshire food supplier that was recently sold in a management buy-out has renewed its lease on a 40,000 sq ft warehouse in Beeston.

The deal was brokered by NG Chartered Surveyors and Musson Liggins and saw Freshcut commit to a 10-year lease at Lilac Grove.

Freshcut Foods is a market leading provider of added value vegetables, fruits and carbohydrates to food manufacturers and food service operators in the UK. It employs around 250 employees across two manufacturing sites.

The company was recently sold in a management buyout led by chief executive officer David Bondi, and backed by London corporate finance house Perwyn.

Sunny Landa, director at NG Chartered Surveyors, said: “This has been a very satisfying deal to work on, as it means our client now has a tenant of the calibre of Frescut for the next decade. Their willingness to take another 10 year commitment shows not only the strength of their business but also the strength of the local industrial market.

“On behalf of the team at NG, we’d also like to congratulate David at Freshcut on the management buy-out; we’re sure the firm will continue to go from strength to strength under his stewardship.”

Bondi added: “We are really pleased to have agreed this further lease which gives both us and our landlord security for the next 10 years. Matthew Liggins, as ever, has done a great job helping us secure this.”

Matthew Liggins of Mussons Liggins acted on behalf of Freshcut. He said: “I have acted for Freshcut Foods for many, many years and it has been a pleasure to have been able to assist the company throughout its growth and development culminating with the buyout. My congratulations to David and his new management team.”
