Nottingham jeweller to expand onto prime site

One of Nottingham’s most prominent retail units is set for a new occuiper after a city jeweller revealed plans to relocate.

Goldsmiths will move out of its Clumber Street store to new premises on the corner of Victoria Street and Bridlesmith Gate in the city. The jeweller will merge two ground floor retail units currently occupied by Scribbler and Kanoo Travel Agents into one, larger unit.

A statement from Nottingham City Council said: “Overall, the proposal is considered to be a significant enhancement to this prominent site within the Conservation Area.”
