Leicester architect relocates to former shopping arcade

Maber Architects has moved into new offices in a former shopping arcade in Leicester.
The company has relocated its offices to the top floor of the Victorian-era Grade II listed Silver Arcade in the city centre.
Originally built in 1899, Maber has carried out what it is calling a “sensitive” full refurbishment of the entire third floor.
A statement on Maber’s website reads: “Formerly a shopping arcade, we have re-imagined the floor space to create a flowing workspace with a variety of working environments, from formal areas to a wide range of informal areas, including stand up tables, a family kitchen and a 3D printing zone.
“The interesting spaces created in the arcade have allowed us to completely re-think our way of working and employ a more creative and flexible workplace strategy.”
The firm’s previous offices were on de Montfort Street in Leicester.
TheBusinessDesk.com will have more on Maber’s move later this week.
