On the move: the latest East Midlands hires

John Faye and Martyn Gettings

Nottingham PR agency Tank has added to new members to its team

Joining as account director is Martyn Gettings, who has nearly a decade’s experience in the PR industry, working both agency-side and in-house. He specialises in tech PR, having led successful campaigns for the likes of Telstra, SES and Newtech, as well as working as PR and content manager for logistics technology firm Microlise.

Meanwhile, John Faye has joined as account manager. For the past two years, Faye has been the assistant global brand manager for British automotive manufacturer Caterham Cars. He previously worked for creative company Moving Brands and London-based design agency 20.20, where he was a client of Tank.

Martin Stone, associate director at Tank, added: “The agency has grown significantly in the past 12-months. Not only have we purchased our own three-storey building in the heart of the Lace Market, but we’ve also had several notable client wins.

“We’re in a strong position to expand our own team, with Martyn and John both bringing new ideas, skills and experience to Tank.”

Mansfield financial planning firm, Cowens Financial Architects, part of Cowens Group, has made a third new appointment in six months.

Joe Cormack

Joe Cormack joins Cowens as project manager and brings five years of financial services experience to the role.

He said: “Financial planning has always appealed to me because of the wide variety of situations and range of clients you are able to help. After gaining my Diploma in Financial Planning, I was looking for a step up in my career and the move to Cowens has provided a perfect opportunity for that.

“Through my new role I am working with a diverse range of private and corporate clients and every day is different – what sets this company apart is the fact that project managers get to see financial projects for clients through from the very start to the end.

“The move was an ideal way for me to build upon my previous experience and broaden my knowledge.”
