HUUB owner reveals plans to break into cycling hardware market

Dean Jackson speaking at the 1870 Business Club lunch

The owner of sportswear designer HUUB has revealed he would like the company to break into the cycling hardware market.

Speaking at the latest meeting of the 1870 Business Club lunch at Derbyshire County Cricket Club yesterday (2 July), Dean Jackson told an audience of around 40 business leaders that he would like HUUB to start building high performance bikes, using data driven design techniques.

Jackon also revealed that he had recently bought out certain investors in HUUB and that the company could open a warehouse in the Netherlands to combat volatile exchange rates.

In an entertaining presentation, Jackson said the secret of the success at HUUB was that he had to “think creative with no money in my pocket.”

With thanks to Air IT for inviting TheBusinessDesk.com colleagues to the lunch.
