People: Shakespeare Martineau; Built Environment Consulting

Shakespeare Martineau’s employment team has been boosted by the appointment of a new head and the recruitment of a partner from a rival Nottingham firm.
Leicester-based partner Philip Pepper has taken over from Mike Hibbs as head of the law firm’s employment team.
Rhys Wyborn has rejoined Shakespeares as an employment partner in Nottingham after nearly nine years working at Geldards. He previously worked at Berryman but left just after it was bought by Shakespeare Putsman.
The firm’s employment team in Birmingham has added legal director and education specialist Esther Maxwell.
Pepper said: “Mike has done an incredible job as head of employment over the last six years. It will be a challenge to fill his shoes, but I’m looking forward to making my mark as the new head and continuing to build on Mike’s success.
“Rhys and Esther will add great value to the employment team.”
