Food industry specialist joins Leicester accountancy firm

A former food industry specialist has joined Grant Thornton as a growth advisor.

Jimmy Mark, who has spent over 30 years in the food industry at companies such as Samworth Brothers and Addo Group, joins the firm’s specialist growth support service.

Mark joins Grant Thornton’s Growth 365 team which provides support to mid-sized businesses.

He said: “Having worked in industry for over three decades I wanted to channel the knowledge, experience and lessons I have learned along the way into helping other businesses progress on their growth journeys.

“Although my background is in the food sector, many aspects of business are equally applicable to all companies, irrespective of the area they operate in. I’m looking forward to working with and supporting ambitious local businesses and their people, helping to develop growth strategies and crucially, ensuring these are delivered to take companies to the next level.”
