Hot Property builds up with Samclo support

The Samclo team on stage last year

This week we took a minute to sit down with Tom Brogan, owner and director of Samclo, where we chatted all things Hot Property and the role the company plays in sponsoring this year’s event.

How many years have you been attending Nottingham Hot Property (NHP)?

The Samclo team and I have been attending NHP for more than ten years now and we’ve all loved every minute of every event. With more people getting involved than ever before, the event grows year after year and it’s great to be a part of the journey.

How many years have you been a sponsor?

In between a decade of attendance, this will be our sixth year as a sponsor, and we are proud to help contribute towards NHP’s chosen charity each year. It’s satisfying to see how the funds raised go so far to support local young people and provide them with more opportunity and support.

What are you most looking forward to about NHP 2019?

For me, as a trustee and organiser, the front-end stuff such as choreography, singing lessons and rehearsals always tick the box for me. I love getting the inside scoop on the event build up and see how the performers grow in confidence each week leading up to the final performance.

Do you have a favourite performance from last year and why?

I thoroughly enjoyed playing the Intro to Voodoo Child, a rock classic by Jimi Hendrix, last year. Thinking back to it makes me really look forward to getting back on stage this year.

Is anyone from Samclo performing this year?

I’ll be getting up on stage again, however, this year I’m doing my first solo performance – I’m just hoping it can live up to last year’s set!

Alongside Samclo Construction the sponsors for this year’s event include B&M Installations, Couch Perry Wilkes, CPMG, Faithful + Gould, Fraser Brown, Pulse Associates, Savills and Shakespeare Martineau. Joining these are Invest in Nottingham, the event’s media partner The Business Desk, PR agency Cartwright Communications, design agency Blimey Creative and design and print agency Ginger Root.
