Retailer’s investment gets tills ringing at village store

Investment in nearly doubling the size of a Nisa store has delivered strong results after its refit.

Sales are up 19% at the store in Blidworth, a village between Nottingham and Mansfield, taking weekly sales to almost £30,000.

The store first opened 30 years ago and Sunny Mann has been a Nisa partner since 2013.

He said: “We always had the potential sales. Customers were coming in and asking for products but we did not have the space or the facilities to stock the goods. Now we have the room and we are continuing to expand our range to meet demand.”

The store has expanded to more than 2,000 sq ft, with a large part of the extra space being used to increase the chilled bays from two to seven.
