On the move: the latest East Midlands hires

Repton School has appointed Andrew Cook as chief development and commercial officer.
Cook is currently director of fundraising and communications at Walking with the Wounded, a charity that supports the most “at risk” veterans in society, to rebuild their lives, integrate back into society and provide sustainable independence free from third sector and state support.
Headmaster Mark Semmence said: “After an extensive search, I am excited to be welcoming Andrew Cook to Repton in September. Andrew’s expertise across both the commercial and fundraising sectors will make him well positioned in helping to shape the evolution of Repton as a leading global education brand as we enter an ambitious new stage of development.”
Cook said: “It is an enormous privilege to join the Repton and Foremarke Hall community. With the independent schools sector becoming an ever increasingly competitive market, the schools’ heritage, passionate alumni and vision of the Governing Body and Executive Team make for a tremendously exciting future and one I am very much looking forward to playing a role in cultivating for generations to come.”
Helen Bell and Dave Howorth
A supply chain solutions firm based in Northamptonshire has appointed two new non-executive directors to its Board.
Helen Bell and Dave Howorth have recently join The NX Group, a Crick-based warehousing, distribution and courier firm.
Howorth comes to the company from a long-established career in the supply chain sector. For more than a decade he was Northern Europe Supply Chain Director for General Mills, who produce brands including Häagen Dazs, Green Giant, Nature Valley, Yoplait and Old El Paso, and he has also worked in in-house logistics at Pepsico and in third party logistics, providing services to clients such as Mars and Comet.
Bell joins The NX Group following a word-of-mouth recommendation from another of the firm’s non-executive directors. She is an FCIPD-qualified senior HR professional whose career has spanned a diverse range of multi-national and independent businesses in the commercial and not-for-profit sectors, including Hyundai, TK Maxx and the Council for Awards in Care, Health & Education.
Neil Powell, managing director of The NX Group, said: “We’re very pleased to welcome these exceptionally experienced and talented individuals to our Board of directors. I have no doubt that Helen and Dave’s contributions and insights will significantly strengthen our provision and help to widen our firm’s reach internationally. Together we are determined to maintain and build on our track record of providing consistently excellent service to our ever-growing customer base across each of our divisions.”
