On the move: the latest East Midlands hires

Opus Trust Communications, the Leicester-based multi-channel communications company, has appointed a new head of development.

Matt Connor joins the firm just a few days after it announced the acquisition of critical communications provider Critiqom.

Connor specialises in solutions design, composition engines, systems integration and document output management. He will take responsibility for extending the range of tools and skills across Opus Trust’s document services and IT development teams.

He said: “I have worked all over the world supporting clients with their communication challenges and have been impressed with what I have learnt about Opus Trust and its strategy.

“Their customer-led approach and ambition to drive excellence in the industry inspired me to join the team and

Elsewhere, East Midlands-based brick-maker Forterra has named a new company secretary.

Company solicitor Ashley Thompson takes on the role at the listed firm following Ben Guyatt’s promotion to CFO.

Thompson qualified as a solicitor with Freshfields Bruckhaus Deringer and joined Forterra in 2015.
