On the move: the latest East Midlands hires
Derbyshire-based housebuilder Avant Homes has appointed a group customer experience director to strengthen its customer service team.
Mark Phelan takes on the newly created role having accrued 20 years’ experience in customer relations and research across a wide variety of sectors.
Phelan will be responsible for overseeing the end-to-end customer journey across all of Avant Homes’ regional operations and will help identify opportunities to improve the housebuilder’s processes and systems.
He said: “It’s hugely exciting to become part of a company that has outstanding customer service at the heart of its business and has a culture of wanting to do the best it can for people at every stage of the house buying process.
“As group customer experience director, I want to exceed expectations for our buyers and potential purchasers by working with the wider business to ensure we’re consistently delivering outstanding service to the highest of standards and, in turn, standing tall within the industry.”
Avant Homes employs over 700 people and has five offices across the UK.
Elsewhere, PRP Consulting Engineers and Surveyors has celebrated its 35th anniversary by appointing two new directors.
Himenshu Patel and James Martin have joined Samantha Maunder, Matthew Sharlott, Barry Smith, Jack Norris, Colin Lambert and Dan Edwards on the Leicestershire and Northamptonshire-based firm’s Board.

Both new directors have been promoted from within.
