On the move: the latest East Midlands hires

Richard Cobley

Lubricants manufacturer ROCOL is extending its support for UK customers with the appointment of a new sales engineer.

Richard Cobley joins the firm in the role of sales engineer covering the Midlands.

He said “The opportunity to join an organisation that is well structured and has such a fantastic reputation is one that I knew I had to take. Being given the opportunity to work with high quality products and deliver the great levels of service that ROCOL customers have come to expect is something that excites me a lot.”

Alan Rankin, regional sales manager for ROCOL, said: “We’re really pleased to have Richard joining us. He has considerable experience and has demonstrated his passion for delivering first class service and solutions to customers’ problems. I know his knowledge and commitment will benefit both our existing clients and those who move over to ROCOL products in the coming months and years.”

The IoD has appointed James Pinchbeck as policy voice ambassador for the East Midlands.

Pinchbeck is a partner with Streets Chartered Accountants. He succeeds Natalie Gasson, who has been appointed as branch chair for the IoD Derbyshire and Nottinghamshire branch.

He will lead the IoD’s powerful Policy Voice programme in the region, which enables directors to influence government ministers and policy-makers through round tables and surveys.

He said: “Directors need strong representation now more than ever so I’m delighted to be taking on this important role. We must speak up about the issues and challenges we all face and let decision makers know what measures are required to help us to recover and thrive. Whether you are a young entrepreneur or an established director of a large organisation, we want to hear from you.”
