Marketing heavyweight joins Boots
Boots has announced the appointment of Pete Markey as chief marketing officer (CMO).
Markey will be responsible for the direction and performance of all Boots marketing activities and will report to Vineet Mehra, SVP, global chief marketing officer, Wallgreen Boots Alliance and chief customer officer, Walgreens.
Markey brings with him a wealth of experience. He is currently CMO at TSB where he is responsible for brand, data, analytics, communications, digital, content and sponsorship. He recently committed to rolling out the Adobe Experience Platform for the company.
Prior to TSB, he was brand communications and marketing director at Aviva, where he led the marketing team in Aviva’s “Digital Garage”, a technology and innovation hub for advanced data and analytics.
His previous roles also include chief marketing officer at The Post Office, chief marketing officer at RSA Group, and head of marketing operations at One Tel.
