Plumbers’ merchants relocates to new 20,000 sq ft unit

Plumbers’ merchants Willbond have taken a 20,000 sq ft office and showroom building in Nottingham.

The firm, which has been trading since 1896, has moved to 195 Glaisedale Drive East in the city, in a deal brokered by FHP Property Consultants.

FHP acted for the Landlord with Victoria Bovington of Shakespeare Martineau, while Willbond used its in-house estates team.

David Hargreaves of FHP Property Consultants said: “Willbond have relocated from their former warehouse at Deakins Place off Ilkeston Road to these new modern facilities at Glaisdale Drive East with vastly improved parking and loading, to facilitate the redevelopment of their site with 703 student bedrooms and have now closed their Ilkeston Road showroom.

“Willbond were very clear where they wanted to be locationally and finding the right property was very difficult with a real lack of supply in this sector, but after 2 years we were able to offer Willbond 195 Glaisdale Drive East which ticked all their boxes.”
