Good-looking property deal as hair and beauty salon moves into leisure and retail development

Sara Fern and Kerry Featherstone

Elder Way, Jomast’s leisure and retail development in Chesterfield town centre, has a new tenant

Feather & Fern, a hair and beauty salon, has opened on Knifesmithgate, taking a 1,636 s. ft unit in the former Co-op department store.

Owners Kerry Featherstone and Sara Fern have agreed a 10-year lease and undertaken a nine-week fit-out of the unit.

Mark Hill, Jomast’s commercial property director said: “Since welcoming the first tenant to Elder Way last year, the scheme has gathered significant momentum. We are thrilled to welcome Feather & Fern to the Elder Way development. This new luxury hair salon is a fantastic addition to the vibrant community we are building here.”

Feather & Fern now joins Hotpod Yoga and bar and restaurant Bottle and Thyme at Elder Way.

Featherstone said: “We are excited to open the salon. The blank canvas of the unit enabled us bring our vision to life in a relatively short period.”
