The advisory team behind the £4.5m sale of a Loughborough eLearning firm has been revealed.

On Monday, it was revealed that listed business software firm Marlowe had bought Loughborough-based DeltaNet International.

A Birmingham legal and accoutancy team from two different firms has been unveiled as the advisors to DeltaNet.

Geoff Perry and Indy Bening from law firm Squire Patton Boggs advised DeltaNet and its shareholders on the deal.

Meanwhile, Iain Lownes, partner, and Paul Stagg, senior manager, from Smith & Williamson’s corporate finance team were lead financial advisors on the transaction. Additional advice was led by Ray Abercromby, tax partner.

Lownes said: “Smith & Williamson has a strong focus on technology businesses and we are delighted to have completed another transaction in this sector, one that will facilitate DeltaNet’s growth while broadening Marlowe’s service capabilities to existing customers.”

DeltaNet, the compliance and safety eLearning platform employs 36 staff and helps customers comply with safety, HR and business compliance standards and legislation.
