Experienced hires join Gateley’s Nottingham office

Gateley has appointed two new partners at its Nottingham office, with the news coming just a few days after the law firm announced a raft of promotions in the city.

Helen Burgess has been appointed as a partner in firm’s employment team, while Matt Hussey joins as a partner within the corporate team.

The pair will be based at Gateley’s office on The Ropewalk in the city centre.

Burgess joins from Shoosmiths, where she headed up the employment team for 12 years. Hussey previously worked as a principal associate in the corporate team at Eversheds Sutherland.

Burgess said: “Having seen from afar the great work Gateley carries out for their clients, I am extremely excited to be joining the team. I am looking forward to building trusted relationships with clients in the East Midlands, as well as embracing the great working culture that Gateley offers.”

Hussey said: “This is a great time to be joining the organisation as it continues to grow, and I can’t wait to be a part of its continued success. This is also a really exciting time for the East Midlands corporate finance market, and I am looking forward to working with our clients from across the region.”
