Accountancy firm promotes six

PKF Smith Cooper has promoted six people across three of its regional offices

PKF Smith Cooper has announced a raft of promotions at its Nottingham, Derby and Birmingham offices which will take effect from today (1 July).

In Nottingham, Megan Whiley has been promoted to tax manager after joining the company last year. Tara Adams, who began working at the firm as a school leaver in 2014, has been promoted to accounts manager.

Charlotte Morgan has been promoted to corporate tax senior manager in Derby, while Selma Delic becomes operations director.

In Birmingham, Tom Joy and Matt Aston have been made senior corporate finance manager and audit manager respectively.

The business advisory and accountancy firm says it is “especially pleasing” that four of the six promoted employees joined the company as trainees.

David Nelson, senior partner at PKF Smith Cooper, said: “I’d like to offer my warmest congratulations to the successful candidates. All six have made an impact at PKF Smith Cooper and we look forward to supporting them as they take the next steps in their career with the firm.

“This year’s promotions will strengthen our tax, corporate finance, accounts, audit and internal support teams. As a progressive and forward-thinking business, we remain committed to investing in talent across all divisions and at all levels.”
