Everards granted planning for 120-room hotel and office block

Everards Meadows

Planning chiefs at Blaby District Council have granted outline permission for a new hotel and office development at Everards Meadows in Leicestershire.

The proposed hotel at the popular leisure destination will include up to 120 rooms, while the office development will total over 9000 sq m and include a dedicated parking area.

The final distribution of the scheme and its appearance and landscaping have yet to be determined.

The 70-plus-acre Everards Meadows site was opened in 2019 by brewery and pub chain Everards.

It is currently home to the Everards Beer Hall, bike equipment stockist and cycle hire business Rutland Cycling and Jennos Coffee House.

Councillor Nick Chapman, Vice-Chair of the Planning Committee at Blaby District Council, said: “This is an extremely exciting proposal for both Everards and the district, and we were delighted to approve the plans.

“We have worked closely with Everards to get this application to an acceptable position, and we have no doubt that the final product will be as well thought out, and as popular as Everards Meadows is currently.

“We’re looking forward to continuing our work with Everards in the future and cannot wait to see the development progress in the coming months and years.”
