On the move: the latest East Midlands hires

Melton Building Society has appointed a new non-executive director.
Elizabeth Lockwood, who has spent 25 years in the banking industry as a risk management specialist, will chair the Society’s Risk Committee.
She spent 15 years covering corporate and financial institutions at Deutsche Bank in the UK before moving on to senior and executive risk roles in commercial, retail and private banking at RBS/Natwest.
Fiona Pollard, chair of the Board, said: “We are very pleased to have Elizabeth Lockwood join the Board of the Melton Building Society. She has a wealth of knowledge from her years as the Deputy Chief Risk Officer for NatWest Holdings and her experience will be a great addition to our Board. We are delighted to welcome her.”
Lockwood added: “I’m thrilled to be joining the Melton Board and to be part of a community helping to build a modern mutual society.”
Three key boardroom roles at the Society – a signatory of the Women in Finance Charter – are now occupied by women.
Leicestershire-based insurance broker Blythin & Brown has welcomed a pair of new hires.
Stephanie Issitt and Gemma Bradshaw have joined the firm as business development manager and trainee account executive respectively.
Issitt has held a number of similar roles with companies including Hilti, Uptonsteel and Gripple UK, while Bradshaw has worked in the insurance industry for more than 20 years.

Issit said: “I like the idea of working for a local business and supporting growth in my community. Moving into the insurance industry is also a new challenge and I’m looking forward to hanging up my site boots and hard hat with as the colder winter months approach!”
Bradshaw said: “During my career as an underwriter I have been able to build a strong relationship with Blythin and Brown and the opportunity join their team came at a time when I was looking for the next stage in my career. I am looking to forward to supporting the account managers as well as the opportunity to develop my own client portfolio by utilising the great connections I already have in the industry.”
