On the move: the latest East Midlands hires

Laura Kalnina, Leigh Booth and Hayden Perry

Colton Packaging has appointed Laura Kalnina, Hayden Perry and Leigh Booth as new business development managers.

The appointments form part of the Loughborough-based packaging firm’s ambitious growth plans. Following a move to a new facility in 2019, Colton has embarked on an extensive warehouse expansion project to increase the footprint of its Leicestershire headquarters to over 65,000 sq ft, as well as a recent digital upgrade of its warehouse systems.

The newly appointed trio will report to director Duncan Smith.

Smith said: “We are really pleased to welcome Laura, Hayden and Leigh to the team to support our ambitious growth plans and build on our reputation for excellent service. We are focused on finding new opportunities across the East Midlands for specialist corrugated cardboard packaging solutions in food, e-commerce and manufacturing sectors. All three are proving to be real assets to the team and already demonstrating great results.

“These new appointments take our team up to 25, with new hires on the horizon, which is evidence of our increasing success as a leading local player within the packaging sector. We are committed to providing exceptional service to our customers, delivering beyond expectation and finding solutions to meet their individual needs – our sales team plays an important part in helping us achieve that.”

esbs, or Earl Shilton Building Society, has appointed Elise Frost as a mortgage administrator at its head office in Leicestershire.

Frost previously worked as a recruitment administrator, where she developed a love of data.

She said: “I very much enjoy admin/office working as I love routine and dealing with data. The opportunity to work with mortgages really stood out to me as a very maths-minded person, and therefore anything to do with money and data is something that I felt I could really thrive in.

“So far my time at esbs has been a pleasure; being able to learn something entirely new has been really enjoyable, but also the people who work here are so friendly and have really supported me in learning my way around the role.”

Paul Tilley, chief executive of esbs, added: “I’m delighted to welcome Elise to esbs at the start of her career, and look forward to seeing her develop with us!”
