Lindhurst was set up in 1985 to service the coal mining industry

A Nottinghamshire engineering firm is edging towards administration, according to documents seen by TheBusinessDesk.com.

Lindhurst Engineering, based in Sutton-in-Ashfield, has posted a notice of intention (NOI) to appoint administrators through Excello Law.

The NOI gives the firm a short period of protection from creditors while it tries to plot a way forward.

The firm was set up in 1985 to provide fabrication services to the local coal mining industry. Since then it has worked in the utilities, food and drink, construction and transport industries.

Lastest accounts for Lindhurst Engineering, for the year ending August 31 2022, show the firm had assets of £1.76m, while it owed creditors £1.52m.
