Construction firm expands with new Loughborough HQ
Scope Construction is extending its presence throughout the East Midlands following significant expansion since starting four years ago.
Their revenue has gone up from £700,000 in 2020 to around £8m in 2023 and will now continue growing from a new base in Loughborough.
Maz Patel, who co-founded Scope Construction with business partner Paz Patel in 2019, said: “It was fantastic to welcome business leaders to the official opening of our new headquarters, which we firmly believe will be the launchpad for more exciting growth after what has already been an incredible four years in business.
“After building a strong foothold in Leicestershire by becoming a key member of the local business community as well as providing exceptional services to clients, our vision is to continue expanding our presence across the wider East Midlands by seeking new partnership opportunities in Derbyshire and Nottinghamshire.”
More than 30 business leaders and the Lord-Lieutenant of Leicestershire were present at the official opening of the company’s new office in the heritage building in Loughborough. This new office will start with a team of 35 people in August 2023.
Prominent projects by Scope Constructions include, What A Goal sports and entertainment centre in Leicester, the Commercial Square Office Development in Leicester, and numerous student housing and private rental projects in Loughborough and Nottingham.
In addition to expanding within Nottinghamshire and Derbyshire, Scope’s forthcoming three-year strategy intends to branch out into the public sector, focusing particularly on constructing affordable housing, assisted living spaces, educational facilities, and revitalising town centres and public properties.
Michael Kapur OBE, His Majesty’s Lord-Lieutenant of Leicestershire, said: “I was delighted to officially open Scope Construction’s new headquarters. This comes after four years of exponential growth despite the challenges of the pandemic, which is truly remarkable.
“Scope is an important part of the construction industry in Leicestershire, and I am looking forward to seeing how it continues to grow in the future.”
