Additional homes approved for Market Harborough’s Airfield Farm development
20 more homes have been granted for this development

A major housing estate on the northern edge of Market Harborough has been given the green light to expand.

This addition of 20 homes will raise the total number of homes in this section of the development to 489, which is 39 more than the initial approval granted to Davidsons Homes in 2016.

The original approval in 2016 granted a general concept for the development, with the exact number of homes to be determined later.

The broader vision for the entire site includes the construction of over 900 homes.

Councillors from Harborough District Council’s planning committee voted unanimously to support the proposed additions.

Another application related to this site was also unanimously approved by the council.

This application involves alterations to Davidson’s 2019 plan for 315 of the homes, with an emphasis on increasing the number of smaller homes and reducing the number of four and five-bedroom units.
