On the move: the latest East Midlands hires

Your IT Department LTD, a managed services provider has announced the addition of three new team members.

The company, which now has a team of 23 employees, offers a comprehensive range of IT support services, including service contracts, telephony, network and server support, and data backup and recovery, ensuring their clients and IT infrastructure is robust, secure, and efficient.

Deepaseem Gurang and Tom Jackson have been welcomed as service desk engineers, along with Leon Clarke, who joins as a service desk apprentice.

Lee Hewson, MD of Your IT said “It’s been an up and down year – we were hit by our biggest client going bust with
very little warning. But our strategy to ensure that we are never overly reliant on one customer has come into its own. We’ve now fully recovered, will still record around 11% growth this year, and have made these appointments to ensure we can welcome new clients as we move into the new financial year.”

Zeynep Guzelkasap

Health and safety consultancy, Acorn Safety Services has announced the appointment of Zeynep Guzelkasap as the company’s new operations manager.

Guzelkasap, joined the company as a business manager in January 2023 having started her career in the asbestos industry 13 years ago.

She said: “I’m delighted to be taking on this new role at Acorn Safety Services, particularly at such an exciting time for the business. Acorn Safety Services continues to grow. We recently moved into new, much larger offices, and we are looking to add to the wide range of services we offer to our clients, particularly when it comes to important areas such as legionella and fire safety.

“Personally, as a mum of two young children and a woman in an industry which has been traditionally very male-dominated, I am thrilled to have been given the opportunity to take on this senior role as well as the support I need to grow my career.”
