Debrett’s has advised Northamptonshire-based Hurricane Modular Commerce in securing a multimillion-pound debt facility from Shawbrook Bank.

Hurricane, a global SaaS data company specialising in supply chain management, has developed an eCommerce, logistics and compliance solution using an AI platform and easy-to-integrate APIs.

The tech firm facilitates the movement of goods across international borders, streamlining operations and enhancing compliance for its clientele.

Under the leadership of CEO Martyn Noble, the senior management team, boasting a collective industry experience of 250 years, opted to explore funding options through Debrett.

The Debrett’s team of Tom Eastwood and Harveer Gill undertook a funding exercise predominantly looking at venture debt solutions. Martyn, Ashley Dexter (CFO) and Harry Reilly (NED) worked with the Debrett’s team to help secure the most appropriate finance partner.

They aimed to secure growth capital to bolster the company’s revenue targets and facilitate expansion into new regional markets and industry sectors.

The Debrett’s team identified Shawbrook Bank as the ideal finance partner.

Dexter said: “The combination of clear, helpful advice, aligned objectives and support enabled the transaction to be
completed rapidly, which will assist sales development around the world.”

Tom Eastwood, director at Debrett’s said: “This has been a highly engaging and satisfying process. All parties have focused on bringing the transaction to a successful conclusion in record time. We look forward to working with the Hurricane team in years to come and seeing the business fulfil its enormous growth potential.”

Browne Jacobson advised Hurricane, while Fieldfisher advised Shawbrook Bank.
