PJ Thory, based in Peterborough, has acquired three quarry sites and Gemmix has acquired five ready-mix concrete sites, with the help of Grant Thornton’s corporate finance team.
The acquisitions expand the group’s operations, with the sites acquired from Heidelberg Materials, situated in Cambridgeshire, Northamptonshire, and Leicestershire, while the quarries are located in Norfolk and Northamptonshire.
The Competition and Markets Authority mandated the sale following Heidelberg’s acquisition of Mick George Group.
