Agency round-up: The Dairy; Greenfinch

West Bridgford-based brand agency The Dairy has promoted social media specialist Elise Quirk following the completion of her Digital Marketing Apprenticeship with Nottingham College.
Following the completion of her apprenticeship, Quirk has been retained by the business and promoted to the position of social media Executive, continuing with her responsibilities of implementing social media strategies and curating content which appeals to distinct audiences across the agency’s diverse client base.
Dairy director Tom Walters said: “The apprenticeship model is one we’ve used several times and one which we feel achieves consistently high quality results – not just for the business, but also for the individual,”
“We appreciate how hard it is for young people to gain a foothold in such a competitive industry,” adds Tom. “So if we can offer these opportunities, nurture the right talent and empower these individuals with driving their careers, and our business, forward in the future, then the results are incredibly rewarding.”
Quirk said: “The Dairy has invested a lot of time and resources into my career so far, supporting me throughout my apprenticeship and empowering me to think autonomously and believe in my ideas. I’m really happy to know that I am here for the long-term and it’s incredibly rewarding to be taking on the position of social media executive. It feels like the perfect fit and I can’t wait to see what’s next both for me – and the business.”
A Leicester-based freelancer has launched two new businesses to deliver content, PR and social media for local, regional and national businesses – and to provide services within the heritage industry.
Sean Dudley
Sean Dudley established Carduelis Content & Historical Research in July 2022. After a period of reflection, he is splitting his operation into two, and launching under two new brand names: Greenfinch Content, PR & Social Media and Goldfinch Heritage.
“I have worked in content marketing, PR and social media since 2012, but being freelance since 2022 has helped me deliver my expertise to clients in the way I want to,” Dudley said. “The aim of the new brands is to better differentiate between the two sets of services I offer. Companies interested in content, PR and social media now have a dedicated brand through which to engage, while organisations seeking heritage-related services also have a single brand to connect with.”
In a nod to the original name of the freelance business, the two brands will together form The Carduelis Group.
