Cartwright celebrates record year with new name

Nottingham headquartered PR and marketing agency Cartwright says it has posted record results for its latest financial year as it launches a new name.

The agency – which has offices in Nottingham, London and Birmingham – racked up a 15% increase in turnover in the financial year to March 2025.

The business has dropped “communications” from its title to “better reflect its broader range of marketing services” – while still retaining a link to the name originally created by agency founder and managing director Liz Cartwright.

She said: “Despite the UK economy continuing to see subdued, but positive growth, it’s the services sector that is top of the list in terms of resilience. As a services sector business, we are excited about another great year of expansion at Cartwright.

“It’s fair to say that the difficult economic backdrop affects many clients and we continue to provide them with consultative advice and support to create real business impact, meaning that they see Cartwright as an integral part of their operations.”

Cartwright added: “Dropping ‘Communications’ from our name marks more than just a change in title – it reflects the scale, ambition and breadth of what Cartwright has become. We’re proud to be a full-service marketing agency with strong roots, a clear direction and a brilliant team driving us forward.”

Rose Hayes, who led the rebrand as director of Cartwright, said: “This new brand encapsulates the journey we have been on to this point while better communicating the business we are today. As well as representing our breadth of services, it encapsulates our approach to colleagues and clients.

“The fact that we are launching this alongside our record results is testament to the evolution of the agency over recent years, ensuring that our look and feel reflects where we sit today as a leading, national full-service marketing agency.”

Key highlights of Cartwright’s year included the development of its digital team following the appointment of head of digital Alex Jones in March 2024, “significant” client growth and delivering more than 400 hours of ESG support.

The agency works with businesses such as global vision brand ZEISS, procurement framework managing agent Pagabo, wool bedding specialist Woolroom and workforce management solution provider MSite.

The agency now boasts an almost 40-strong team across PR, digital, social media, brand and marketing.
