2,000 jobs set to be created at Harrier Park

Property agents from across the region are set to attend the launch of the 70 acre Harrier Park at Hucknall next month.

The new 70 acre business park, which will be creating around 2,000 new jobs for local people, will be delivered by Muse in partnership with Rolls-Royce.

Construction is now underway at Harrier Park, which is next to Rolls-Royce’s Hucknall manufacturing plant. Muse and Nottinghamshire County Council are working together to deliver a new road that will not only provide a route directly into the business park from the Hucknall bypass, but will also provide improved access into Rolls-Royce’s site.

Dan Needham, development director at Muse Developments said: “We are thrilled that we have already had a considerable amount of interest for our launch event next month. The park has huge potential to grow and expand and will improve businesses and economic growth both regionally and nationally. We are looking forward to attracting occupiers and a rise in local employment.

“We are also extremely grateful for the co-operation between Nottinghamshire County Council, Ashfield District Council and the residents of Hucknall while works take place.”

The chair of Nottinghamshire County Council’s economic development committee, councillor Diana Meale, said: “The new development at Harrier Park will offer a fantastic opportunity for the county and for Hucknall in particular, creating jobs through growing and expanding local and global businesses.

“We are working closely with Rolls Royce and Muse and with our contractor GallfordTry to ensure this new access is delivered as quickly and efficiently as possible.”

The infrastructure for the new road started in May 2016 and is due for completion by spring 2017.
