Record breaker launches £2m golf school

TV golf presenter and record breaker Glenn Turner is today launching a £2m golf academy in the North West.
The first phase includes a par 3 nine-hole course, a floodlit 80-bay driving range, training academy and a 6,000 sq ft Nevada Bobs golf superstore.
The launch at Rainford, Merseyside is the first part of a multi-million pound investment in the creation of the North West National golf course, an 18-hole Championship course, which is being designed by Mr Turner, who is a Guinness World record holder after playing 381 18-hole courses in a year.
He said :“The directors of the North West National, the development team and I are delighted to launch this first phase of a multi-million pound investment.
“This is just the start of what is going to be a truly wonderful course to play on but it will also give golfers expert coaching and comprehensive facilities.
“An enormous amount of research and planning has gone into the development of the course, which will make it one of the most testing in the UK.”
