YFM Equity Partners (YFM) has backed the management buyout of Lancaster-based The Networking People (TNP).

The undisclosed investment in the provider of network technology, connectivity, and cyber security services, will support its next phase of growth.

TNP specialises in designing, implementing, and managing critical ICT network infrastructure, primarily serving the public sector.

The company says it has built a strong reputation for delivering secure, resilient, and high-performance connectivity solutions, underpinned by a consistently high standard of service, to local government, healthcare, education, and emergency services.

The investment by YFM will support TNP’s expansion plans, enhance its service offering, and continue delivering mission-critical network solutions to its growing client base.

The transaction facilitates a management buyout led by Scott Daniels (managing director) and Robin Williams (technical director), who will drive the business forward with the backing of YFM.

As part of this investment, Nigel Redwood, the former CEO of Nasstar, joins as chair.

Scott Daniels said: “This investment marks an exciting new chapter for TNP. With YFM’s backing, we can build on our strong foundation, expand our reach, and continue to provide the best possible network and security solutions to our clients.

“Our focus remains on delivering high quality, high reliability services that meet the evolving needs of public sector organisations across the UK.”

Dan Freed, partner at YFM Equity Partners, said: “TNP has established itself as a trusted provider of network solutions in a market where security, reliability, and expertise are critical.

“We are excited to partner with Scott, Robin and the team to help them realise their ambitious growth plans. With a strong reputation, a highly skilled team, and increasing demand for secure and resilient network infrastructure, TNP is well positioned for future success.”
