BMI adds Lourdes to Manchester routes

BUDGET airline bmibaby has announced a new route from Manchester Airport to Lourdes for summer 2010.

The summer service to Lourdes will start on April 30 and run twice a week through to the end of September.

bmibaby said it expects to carry over 9,000 passengers on the route, which will start from £37.99 one way including taxes and charges.

Crawford Rix, managing director of bmibaby, said: “We are the only low cost carrier to offer flights from Manchester to Lourdes, so we are pleased we can offer the people of Manchester the chance to travel to an exciting new destination.”

Andrew Harrison, commercial director forManchester Airport, said: “Offering nineteen European destinations shows that bmibaby is committed to giving our passengers within the North West as much choice as possible for their travel requirements.”
