Hodgsons handle football CVA

NORTH West accountancy firm Hodgsons is handling the Company Voluntary Arrangement of non-league football club Harlow Town.
Creditors of Harlow Town, which was founded in 1879, have approved the CVA, which is being supervised by David Mond of Timperley-based Hodgsons.
The Essex club, a member of the Rymans League Division One North owed £270,000 to creditors including the HM Revenue and Customs.
Commenting on the CVA, Mr Mond said: “Harlow Town F.C has done what was necessary to give the club a chance to re-emerge and try and rebuild itself in a more stable, financial position with the support of the town.”
With creditors approving the CVA, the petition issued by HMRC will now be dropped and Hodgsons confirm that creditors will receive a dividend on their claims as long as the club complies with the terms of the CVA.
According to league rules the club will receive a 10-point deduction.
