Appointments: Rubin in at Stripes; Freshfield expands and more
MANCHESTER law firm Stripes Solicitors has bosted its employment team with the appointment of Daniel Rubin.
He joins Stripes as director of employment from Addleshaw Goddard where he has spent the last decade advising a wide range of clients including plcs, institutional clients and household names.
Daniel, who was listed in the 2009 Legal 500, was a managing associate at Addleshaws.
He says his move to Stripes to will enable him to respond to clients’ demands to offer a better value proposition: “The future of the employment market lies with providing a better value service from experienced lawyers who understand their clients’ businesses.”
Stripes’ managing partner Andrew Stripe added: “Daniel has vast experience of working with some of the UK’s biggest companies and will be a valuable addition to the Stripes’ employment team.”

THE Dukes – the Lancaster-based theatre, cinema and gallery venue – has appointed accountant Richard Hall to its board of directors as it looks to raise its profile with the North West business community.
Richard, a corporate senior manager at Moore and Smalley chartered accountants, will assist in building awareness of the venue’s conferencing and corporate hospitality facilities, as well as providing additional financial and accountancy expertise.
He said: “I’m thrilled to be appointed as a member of the board at The Dukes and I am looking forward to using my passion for the arts to assist in the continued development of this superb facility.

PRESTON-based marketing communications agency, Freshfield, has strengthened its PR division with the appointment of a new PR account executive.
Katie Heaton, 22, from Chorley, joins the Winckley Square outfit having recently completed a journalism degree at Liverpool John Moores University.
While at university, Katie gained experience in PR working for Manchester based agency Biss Lancaster, as well as spending time with Lancashire County Council’s communications team.
She said: “I am very excited to be working on such an impressive and varied client base and can’t wait to get stuck in!”
