Yorkshire jeweller opens in Manchester

JEWELLER Phillip Stoner is to open its first store in Manchester at The Avenue development in Allied London’s Spinningfields district.
The store is the fourth to be opened by family-owned Philip Stoner – a Yorkshire-based business which has been in operation since 1982.
The company already has two sites in Leeds and one in Halifax, but Jonathan Stoner hopes that the new 560 sq ft store will help to increase turnover from £2million to £3million within its first year of trading.
“There is healthy competition in the city, but we’re confident that by offering the finest diamonds, along with our significant expertise and impeccable customer service, it will ensure that we stay at the top of the game”, said Jonathan, who is the son of founder Phillip Stoner. He has been managing director of the business since 2008.
Jonathan said: “In addition to building our Manchester customer base, we aim to become a destination store for affluent Cheshire customers looking to source high quality diamonds and exquisite pieces from a trusted company.”
