Linco sales up 20% despite damp squib summer

PRIVATELY-owned North West sun and skincare company Linco Care has defied the dismal summer weather to boost sales by 20%.

The family-owned firm said new international markets and a supply deal with discount retailer Aldi Europe, had driven the sales increase.

Linco Care, which was founded 30 years ago, employs 50 people in Carrington. It has an annual turnover of £3m a year.

Co-founder and managing director Farhad Seka said: “This has been a highly successful year for Linco Care and I am delighted with the performance of the company and the people who work in it.

“I am also convinced that the reason for this success is our commitment to innovation and product development.”

During 2009 the company launched a new dispenser for sun cream and a new anti-scarring product, Re-Gen.
