HSBC ups stake in police PFI

HSBC Infrastructure has completed its acquisition of a further 22.9% stake in the Greater Manchester Police Authority PFI project.

The move takes its total interest in the project to 72.92% and brings the number of incremental acquisitions undertaken by the company since its launch to 15.

Tony Roper, director, HSBC Specialist Fund Management, the company’s investment adviser, said: “We are delighted to announce the completion of this acquisition, which supports the company’s strategy of acquiring incremental investments when suitable opportunities arise.”
