VPhase signs housing association deal

VPHASE, the Chester-based manufacturer of energy saving products, is targeting the social housing market after signing a deal with one provider in the North West.

The AIM-listed company, which is a subsidiary of Energetix, has developed a voltage management system that reduces and regulates incoming power. VPhase believes it can cut around 10% from electricity bills.

It has agreed to trial with system with an unnamed housing association and sees this as an entry point into a market that covers four million homes.

In a statement chief executive Lee Juby said: “Our entry into the social housing sector is a key milestone as it represents a significant route to market for us.

“We are already working with a number of UK utilities to introduce the VPhase product into households. In our entry into the housing association market we look forward to helping more UK homes to reduce their emissions and energy bills, thus helping to make social housing to become even more affordable.”

VPhase said its product could help housing associations meet tough carbon reduction targets.
