Appointments: Gibbs quits DWF for Napthens; Absolute boosts team & Librae joins LHS

A LEADING North West commercial litigation lawyer has joined Napthens solicitors.

Sean Gibbs takes up the post of commercial litigation partner at Napthens, after leaving DWF in Preston.

With 20 years’ experience of working on all types of commercial dispute, Sean deals regularly with boardroom issues as well as shareholder, partnership and professional negligence and general contract litigation.

He said: “I am keen to be involved with a firm which has a real buzz about it and is obviously going places, and I am looking forward to working alongside some excellent lawyers to provide a commercially focused legal service to the business community across Lancashire.”

Sean was a partner at both Ricksons and Cobbetts in Manchester for a number of years before moving to Ricksons (now DWF) in Preston.

ABSOLUTE Invoice Finance has appointed Mark Lindsay as regional manager in its North West office, based in Manchester.

Mr Lindsay brings over 15 years’ experience to the position, having previously worked with Davenham Group, RBS Invoice Finance, Regency Factors and, most recently, with Mitchell Charlesworth as business development director.

In his new role, Mark will be responsible for working with entrepreneurial businesses in the Manchester area to deliver tailored funding solutions to enable them to grow.

MANCHESTER law firm Lewis Hymanson Small has expanded its corporate and commercial team with the appointment of a new partner, Adèle Librae.

A specialist in private company transactional work including acquisitions, disposals, funding, restructuring and joint ventures, Ms Librae also advises businesses on commercial contracts.adelelibrae

She previously worked at Halliwells and Pinsent Masons in Manchester and has acted for a wide range of regional and national clients.

She said: “I spent a year as a consultant at Lewis Hymanson Small so both sides had the opportunity of having a good look at one another.  We both must have liked what we saw as here I am.”
