Chinese Buffet cooks up ambitious growth strategy

A CHINESE restaurant company intends to open five restaurants across the North West in 2010 as it pursues its ambition to become a national chain.
The Chinese Buffet’s growth strategy follows a £50,000 refurbishment of its first restaurant in Bolton’s Bridge Street.
The extensive make-over included the introduction of a sushi bar, noodle bar and teppanyaki stir fry station which allows customers to pick their own fresh ingredients and watch as it’s cooked in front of them by one of the restaurant’s experienced chefs.
The Chinese Buffet, which also has premises in Wigan’s Standishgate, has just signed up Wilds Chartered Accountants to assist with its accountancy and business development needs.
Peter Wu, managing director of The Chinese Buffet, which was launched in December 2006, said: “This is an extremely exciting time for the business as we look to expand our presence across Greater Manchester and the North West as a whole.
“We’re confident that the expertise and knowledge of the Wilds team will help us to carefully plan and execute our ambitious business growth strategy.”
Mick Seddon, business development director at Wilds, said: “Winning The Chinese Buffet as an account is testament to the hard work and determination shown across the five distinct strands of Wilds Group in the last six months.
“Wilds is committed to helping businesses identify and achieve ambitious business development strategies across a broad range of sectors. The Chinese Buffet has demonstrated a strong drive to expand its restaurant portfolio during the next 12 to 18 months and we’re delighted to be able to help them achieve that.”
