Cheetham & Mortimer to advise on Southport retail
MANCHESTER property consultancy Cheetham & Mortimer is to advise Sefton Council on retail developments in Southport.

MANCHESTER property consultancy Cheetham & Mortimer is to advise Sefton Council on retail developments in Southport.

The company won the contract to provide retail advice to the council’s specialist planners on town regeneration and redevelopment plans, following a competitive tender.

The firm has also been selected by Derbyshire Dales District Council to advise on retail proposals for Matlock town centre.

Warwick Smither, partner at Cheetham & Mortimer, said: “As inward investment filters back into town regeneration, we are seeing a shift in emphasis from developers back to Local Authorities in bringing forward development opportunities.

“Consequentially, independent, niche practices such as ourselves are being selected for our in-depth market intelligence and understanding of developers and retailers, to ensure a successful delivery of these proposals.”
