SCP rings the changes

TRANSPORT and infrastructure design consultancy Singleton Clamp & Partners unveiled a new brand and name as it celebrated its 21st birthday.
The firm, based on Mount Street in Manchester will now be known simply as SCP.
Director David Roberts said the firm was proud of its growth and its re-establishment of a base in London with the acquisition this year of PTP Consultants, which added six staff to the firm’s 20 in Manchester.
He said: “The firm began life with the head office in London and a branch office in Trumpet Street, Manchester. Bill Booker, fellow director and myself joined in 1991 and by 1999 the Manchester office was the biggest of the two.
“When the London partners then retired the focus was on Manchester and this became the only office. The past 12 months have seen further changes with us re-establishing a southern base due to the takeover of PTP located in the South East with prestigious clients such as Canary Wharf Management Company.”
SCP’s clients include Lidl, BAE Systems, Tesco and Cine UK, Asda, Lancashire County Council, Barratt Homes, Russell Homes and Gladedale.
Roberts added: “Our portfolio of clients is now vast and we supply a huge range of services from transport planning to Infrastructure design. Our team of experts are proud of what SCP has achieved in the 21 years and delighted to be taking the business forward under the new banner of SCP.”
