Appointments: Change at the top at Hasgrove; DLA Piper; Higham & Co & more

ROD Hyde, the chief executive of listed PR and digital services group Hasgrove, has retired to be replaced by finance director Paul Sanders.

In a statement to the Stock Market, Manchester-based Hasgrove, parent company of PR firm Amaze, said Hyde had decided to retire following the sale of lobbying businessInterel in July and the largely-completed restructuring of the UK-based businesses.

Stephen Collins, 43 and currently finance director of Amaze, has replaced Sanders as group FD.

DLA Piper has boosted its  banking team with the appointment of associate Joe Frew, who has joined from top tier rival Eversheds.

Frew, pictured, who will sit in the firm’s Finance and Projects practice, has more than nine years’ experience in all aspects of corporate banking and acquisition finance.Joe Frew DLA Piper

NICK Howard has joined Higham & Co in Manchester as an associate partner.

Howard has significant levels of planning experience in both public and private sectors and is a former planning inspector for the Planning Appeals Commission for Northern Ireland.

Prior to joining Higham & Co he worked for Bellway Homes in the south of England, for Scott Wilson, and for Leeds City Council.

WEALTH manager Dewhurst Torevell has appointed Jane Kellett to the new role of technical manager. 
 
An experienced IT trainer Kellett will support the development of company-wide reporting and enhanced client communications.
