Jones Homes buys Glossop site from Stagecoach

GL HEARN’S Manchester land and planning team has secured a site for potential residential development by Jones Homes in Glossop, Derbyshire.

The 1.4 acre site is on land north of York Street. GL Hearn initially identified the site and subsequently negotiated terms for the contract to buy the site from current landowner, Stagecoach, for an undisclosed sum.

Jones Homes has now submitted a detailed planning application for a 28 two- and three- bedroom starter homes on the site. It includes a commitment to build eight affordable homes.

Robert Gray, land manager of Jones Homes, said: “We are delighted to have acquired this site, which will complement our current development, The Heathers, just off Sheffield Road, where we are building a range of larger detached family homes.”
