Cuckoo on song with FreeBass

CREATIVE agency Cuckoo Design has produced the artwork for the first releases from the new record label, Hacienda.
The label, named after the famous former Manchester nightclub, is the brainchild of former New Order bassist Peter Hook.
The commission for Freebass’s EP ‘Two Worlds Collide’ was something of a departure for Salford-based Cuckoo Design, which usually works with financial and professional services firms and in the hospitality and leisure sectors.
Steve Wheatley, deputy managing director at Cuckoo Design, said “The EP cover is a gift of a project for any design team and we’ve absolutely loved working on it.
“It’s been a real privilege to work alongside a music legend like Peter Hook – not to mention a brand as iconic as Hacienda.”
Two Worlds Collide brings together a selection of famous musicians including Tim Burgess from The Charlatons, Pete Wylie, Howard Marks and Peter Hook himself.
