Trio of deals for DTZ

PROPERTY agent DTZ has concluded three acquisitions in Greater Manchester and Lancashire totalling over 29,100 sq ft.
The three acquisitions include Manchester and District Housing’s acquisition of 7,516 sq ft at Tustin Court in Preston; Wigan and Leigh College’s acquisition of 6,637 sq ft at Leigh Sports Village in Leigh; and Mott MacDonald’s acquisition of 14,947 sq ft at Springbank House in Altrincham.
Manchester and District Housing relocated from its Preston office to new accommodation at Tustin Court, having agreed a ten year lease at £10.00 a sq ft with a tenant’s option to break.
Wigan and Leigh College has taken additional space at Leigh Sports Village, where it already has a large campus, allowing it to offer additional courses in the forthcoming academic year. A ten year lease with a tenant’s option to break was taken at a rental of around £11.00 a sq ft.
The final deal saw Mott MacDonald acquire Springbank House on Station Road in Altrincham. The original building was extended with a new purpose built annexe to accommodate the expanded business under one roof. DTZ advised on the project from inception through to completion and occupation.
